Writing page and adapting content to tabletop RPGs

On Monday night while I was dozing in bed, about to fall asleep, I had an idea for the dedicated writing page I had been tinkering with. On Tuesday, everything kind of came together and I was able to complete it. I'm honestly shocked! Check it out:

The hardest part was probably trying to write the blurb about myself for the homepage. I always struggle writing about myself, so I combed through some of my old about pages on previous versions of my site. I actually found a bit of placeholder text I'd put on one that made me laugh out loud:

Customer: Hi, what type of muffin is this?
Employee: Oh, that's an angst muffin with raisins.
Customer: Eww… raisins…

Anyhoo, I wasn't sure when I was going to get around to doing the site, but I'm glad it's up. It means I can start focusing on writing new articles! I launched the site with one article, which is sort of a re-hashed blog post from my old "official" website I've mentioned before. It's called From Idea to Adventure: Adapting content to tabletop RPGs and it goes over some thoughts I had about adapting Sailor Moon into a tabletop RPG. I don't think I have experience with the right game systems to really make it work, sadly. It got me thinking about my old Persona tabletop instead. I never thought I would get back to it, but I might mess around with it sometime soon.

I did start compiling skills on Airtable after writing that original blog post in July, though!

Now that both the main site and the dedicated writing site are up, I'm super relieved. I feel like I can focus on some of my other projects now. This week has kind of been a bust for my other habitual tasks like programming and even writing, so hopefully I can get back on track. \( ̄▽ ̄)/
